Aiming to elevate awareness within the ÌÇÐĶÌÊÓƵapp (CvSU) community regarding gender-based sexual harassment in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), the University’s Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC) conducted a webinar on Commission on Higher Education (CHED) CMO No. 03, series of 2022: Guidelines on Gender-Based Sexual Harassment in HEIs on December 4, 2023, via Zoom video conferencing and Facebook Live.

Dr. Hernando D. Robles, CEO VI, University President, emphasized the university’s commitment to a safe and inclusive environment. Dr. Robles highlighted the significance of understanding and addressing gender-based sexual harassment.

Dr. Renifer R. Francisco, National GAD Resource Pool Batch 4, Philippine Commission on Women, discussed the distinctions of CHED CMO No. 03, series of 2022. Her discussion delved into the guidelines, their implications, and the proactive measures HEIs can take to prevent and address gender-based sexual harassment on academic community.

To formally conclude the webinar, Dr. Bettina Joyce P. Ilagan, Dean, College of Arts and Sciences, delivered the closing message, summarizing the key takeaways from the webinar. Dr. Ilagan emphasized the collective responsibility of the academic community in fostering an environment free from gender-based sexual harassment.
